On 10 April, Tasmin Little was awarded BBC Music Magazine’s 2019 Personality of the Year in recognition of her significant contribution to classical music over the course of her career.

Throughout her 30+ year career, Tasmin has given more than 2,000 performances – including many in The Menuhin Hall and 20 appearances at London’s BBC Proms Festival - and almost 50 recordings.

Earlier this year, she announced her retirement from the concert platform to focus on other interests, including giving masterclasses, participating in juries for competitions and advancing the effort to ensure music remains a vital component of the national curriculum.

We look forward to seeing what she does next, and hope to welcome her back to the School soon.
