It may surprise you to learn that more than 90% of our students require some level of financial assistance in order to attend the School.
It was Yehudi Menuhin’s vision that no pupil should ever have to turn down a place at the School due to lack of finances.
The School is fortunate to receive generous support from the Department for Education (DfE) through the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS), which provides support to many students at the School according to their financial means. However, not all children are eligible, and The Yehudi Menuhin School aims to support the remainder through funds donated by individuals, companies and charitable foundations.
The School has to raise funds for around 15% of pupils each year, which translates into an annual fundraising goal for bursaries alone of around £600,000.
