Season highlights:

YMS pupil showcases

Our showcases are an opportunity to experience music from all around the world performed by some of the finest young musicians, these performances will include chamber music, student compositions and much more.

Celebrity concerts

We welcome Gary Hoffman Wu Qian and Sitkovetsky Trio and Friends, who will also play alongside two of our pupils to perform Dvorak’s chamber masterpiece – Piano Quintet No.2. We also have performances by Surrey Mozart Players and a Founder’s Day performance, celebrating one of the world’s greatest virtuoso violinists. The concert honours the school’s inspirational founder, Yehudi Menuhin, on what would have been his 106th birthday, with a programme of music to be performed by alumna, current students, and staff.

We welcome you to our ever-popular Orchestral Picnic, held in the beautiful grounds of the Yehudi Menuhin School. Our pupils will perform pieces from our forthcoming recording on the Orchid Classics label followed by Dvorak’s glorious serenade, conducted by our Associate Artist Maxim Rysanov. The Summer Festival also includes a Chamber Showcase performance featuring Stravinsky’s infamous masterpiece in the composer’s own arrangement for two pianos, with YMS joining Director of Music Ashley Wass for an unforgettable performance as theatrical as the ballet itself. Leaver’s showcases will also be featured throughout the Summer Festival, with a joyous festival finale ‘Ode to Joy!’ on Friday 7 July.
