YMS pupils once again threw themselves into the fundraising spirit for Children in Need Day, paying for the privilege of being able to attend lessons in pyjamas and/or with 'bad hair'. Pupils also baked and sold cakes to raise money.
An unexpected boost came when visitors attending a U3A Study Day in The Menuhin Hall donated an additional £142.80 in response to the pupils' appeal. Many thanks to all of them.
Many thanks too to science teacher Jenny Dexter and everyone else who helped with the organisation. The final total will be published when all the funds have been collected and counted. The sum will then be divided between Children in Need and the Disasters Emergency Committee raising funds for all those in the Philippines who have been so terribly affected by the recent typhoon.
