YMS students were delighted to have the chance to meet the Prime Minister David Cameron at a reception at Lancaster House today. The reception was held to celebrate the work of all the Free Schools established over the last few years. Our students were there because of the outreach work we do at Cobham Free School, where some of our A3 (third-year sixth) students, under the direction of staff member Elliot Perks (and last year his brother Oscar), teach the violin to children in the infant classes.
Unfortunately the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Education entered the room too late to hear the combined YMS/CFS rendition of the theme from Star Wars, followed by the perennial favourite Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. But Mr Cameron took time to shake hands, chat with them, and pose for the photograph above.
