Follow this link to a short video compiled by Bayerischer Rundfunk, the Bavarian Broadcast Company, for their weekly arts programme Capriccio. Broadcast on 7 April to celebrate Menuhin's centenary, it’s a compilation of film footage showing Yehudi Menuhin in concert, in a war hospital, in conversation and relaxing in a yoga pose!

Herbert Von Karajan and Ravi Shankar make brief appearances, as do some of our own pupils.

If these tantalising clips leave you wanting more, don't forget that we have two very interesting lectures taking place at The Menuhin Hall as part of our Menuhin 100 Festival.

On Thursday 21 April at 7.30pm, Humphrey Burton, ex-Head of Music at the BBC and Menuhin's biographer, will be giving his illustrated lecture Yehudi Menuhin: Man and Music.

On Wednesday 6 July 5.30pm and 8.00pm, Bruno Monsaingeon will be delivering his presentation Yehudi on Film where he discusses his experiences of working with Yehudi. Please visit our booking office if you are interested in attending either of these lectures.

In other broadcasting news, Humphrey Burton has also been presenting a 20-part programme on ClassicFM on Saturday evenings entitled Yehudi Menuhin: The Master Musician. Episode 19, coming up on 14 May is entitled 'Utopia in Stoke d'Abernon' and will include recordings made at the School on the day of his lecture.
