The superb a capella group Voces8 made a very welcome return to The Menuhin Hall on 8 October. As was the case on their last visit a few years ago, they spent much the day conducting vocal workshops with pupils both from the YMS and from local schools for children with special educational needs. Both groups of pupils then joined in memorably at various points during the concert and the YMS pupils took part in an impromptu improvisation based on Britten's New Year Carol from Friday Afternoons.
Voces8 were as impressive and engaging as ever: impeccable both in terms of their musicality and in their presentation. We look forward eagerly to their next visit!
