On a beautiful November day last week, staff and pupils took time out to honour and remember those who have died or suffered in the wars if the last hundred years.

Headmaster Dr Richard Hillier led the act of remembrance, calling to mind those who fell in the First and Second World Wars, as well as in more recent conflicts, and three poems were read by Aida Lahlou, Nathan Perry and Will Duerden.

The two-minute silence was framed by The Last Post and Rouse, played eloquently on the viola by Tianyou Ma, before we all dispersed thoughtfully to continue the day.
