On 3 July we will be opening our doors to primary schools from the local area with two free concerts (at 10.30am or 1.15pm) in The Menuhin Hall.

The concert will last about one hour and will include a performance by one of our string orchestras as well as other short, lively pieces performed by our students on violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar and piano.

There will also be the opportunity to hear some young violinists from the Cobham Free School, who have been having lessons with YMS teachers as part of our Chance to Play programme. The concert will be introduced and conducted by Oscar Colomina i Bosch, Director of Music at YMS and is aimed at pupils from Years 5 and 6, but other ages are welcome as well.

Our experience has shown that watching our students perform sparks a greater interest in music, and inspires budding musicians to want to practise and participate more in music at their own school.

If you are interested in attending please download the booking form and complete with details of pupil numbers and your contact information, and return to outreach@menuhinschool.co.uk no later than Friday 15th June.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Menuhin Hall.
