A short journey along the M25 brought thirty YMS pupils to Hazelwood School to perform for the Oxted and Limpsfield Music Society, revisiting them for the first time in fourteen years.

The concert comprised a Haydn quartet (Leonard Jaffe Barbosa, Katherine Yoon, Otoha Tabata and Dilara Sahin), violin concertos by Panufnik and Haydn (soloists Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux and Qian Hui Ho respectively), and Britten's Simple Symphony.

There was barely a seat free in the school's theatre and the audience was a warm and appreciative one. We very much enjoyed renewing our acquantaince with the OLMC and look forward to returning again soon.

Many thanks too to Chairman of Governors Richard Morris and especially his wife Marian for so kindly and generously hosting the entire party for a delicious pre-concert supper at their home in Edenbridge.
