We are thrilled to bring you an eclectic season of showstopping concerts, that range from celebrity concerts, showcases, a soirée of virtuoso jazz and seasonal favourites as part of our popular Winter Festival.

Come and Sing Fauré Requiem (Friends Event) - Saturday 9 September

An event for our Best Friends, Friends and Menuhin Circle members to join us for a very special Come and Sing event. There will be a rehearsal and performance of Fauré Requiem alongside our pupils, accompanied by the School’s String Ensemble and conducted by our School’s Choirmaster, David Condry.

Maxim Rysanov and Julian Bliss with Dasol Kim – Thursday 28 September

We will be welcoming back our Associate Artist, Grammy nominated violist and conductor, Maxim Rysanov together with world-renowned clarinettist Julian Bliss and pianist Dasol Kim with an evening of Schumann. A wonderful opportunity to chart through a landscape of tragedy and ecstasy, joy and longing as we embrace Schumann’s most exquisitely beautiful music.

Pupil Showcases - Tuesday 10 October & Monday 22 January

As always, at the heart of our concert seasons are our pupils. They will perform throughout the season alongside our celebrity artists and will continue to feature in our popular pupil showcases that give you the opportunity to hear some of the finest young musicians in the world.

Remembrance Day Showcase – Saturday 11 November

The evening will consist of our Director of Music, Ashley Wass, performing alongside our pupils to perform Korngold’s Suite for Two Violins, Cello and Piano Left Hand Op 23. Julian Bliss will be performing Messiaen’s legendary Quartet for the End of Time. There is also a pre-concert talk available exploring the life and world of Paul Wittgenstein.

Natalia Lomeiko and Dinara Klinton – Thursday 23 November

Join us for an evening of evocative music by Szymanowski and Schumann with violinist and alumna Natalia Lomeiko, and Professor of Piano Dinara Klinton. They will be joined in the second half of the concert, by some of our exceptional young musicians to perform Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major.

The Grange Christmas Concert – Saturday 2 December

We invite you to celebrate the start of the Christmas season with a wonderful fun evening of carols and songs, showcasing the talent of people with disabilities and local choral societies. A night of Christmas singalongs, mince pies and lots of fun and festive cheer!

Winter Festival – 10 -13 December

Our ever-popular Winter Festival is back with a festive celebration of music and activities for all the family to enjoy! We will be joined by Sally Beamish OBE, our first Composer in Residence, Marco Galvani, our very own Deputy Director of Music and David Grimal, internationally renowned violinist. There will also be a wonderful Christmas Showcase performed by our pupils inspired by Christmas and the Winter Season!

Kathryn Stott – Thursday 1 February

This evening, we will welcome back Kathryn Stott, who was just eight years old when she joined the School in the 1960’s. She will share the stage with our current pupils to perform works by Fauré - a speciality of Stott.

Julian Bliss Septet - Thursday 29 February

Bringing the season to a bombastic close, we will once again welcome back Julian Bliss, this time with six other incredible musicians for a night of jazz. From the Wigmore Hall in London to the Lincoln Center in New York, the Julian Bliss Septet has consistently captivated audiences with its dazzling virtuosity, extraordinary musicianship and charming humour that shine through programmes of swing, Latin, American and jazz music. It’s time to put on your favourite dancing shoes, grab a drink, and show us ‘you got rhythm’!
