If you have a spare few minutes, take some time out to enjoy this documentary of the 2016 Menuhin Competition held in London earlier this year.

There are some wonderful performance excerpts, plus a range of insightful comments from jurors, organisers, trustees and competitors. Our own Louise Staples and SongHa Choi who competed in the Senior section appear in musical excerpts, along with the Yehudi Menuhin School orchestra who accompanied the Junior finalists in their performances of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Chair of the Jury, Pamela Frank noted that "the results are irrelevant - what matters is that everybody is playing their hearts out all the time." The next competition will be held in Geneva in 2018.
