We were delighted to be offered the opportunity of running a match-funding challenge in support of our Bursary Fund this term. An existing supporting Surrey family initially offered to match pound-for-pound all donations to the School up to £80,000 in honour of Zamira Menuhin Benthall’s 80th birthday. Thanks to an amazing response from so many of our supporters, we met our target a full four weeks ahead of schedule! In response, our backer challenged us to raise our game even higher and offered to match-fund up to £130,000 for all donations made by Friday 20 December.
In the end, thanks to our initial match-funder and then a second anonymous donor, we raised an astonishing £308,000. We are so grateful for your support, which will help us to provide bursaries for talented children to attend the School next year. Currently 9 out of 10 pupils require some form of financial aid in order to study with us, so this campaign has made a huge difference. Thank you.
