What a treat it has been to launch the new School year with two days of teaching from legendary violinist Shmuel Ashkenasi.
As well as teaching a number of pupils from both the senior and the junior ends of the School, in response to questions and answers from staff and pupils, Professor Ashkenasi gave an absorbing and inspirational account of his career and his thoughts on music and performing.
Many thanks to Professor Ashkenasi for making time for us in his busy schedule. This was a visit which will be much remembered.
