Happy Holidays from everyone at The Yehudi Menuhin School
As we reach the end of a busy Autumn Term, with the wonderful music of the Winter Festival concerts still ringing in our ears, it gives us great pleasure to share our virtual musical Christmas card, 'It's looking like I'll be home', arranged by our pupil James, and performed by Jason on solo guitar and members of our School orchestra.
The piece is a combination of James' two favourite Christmas songs ‘I'll be home for Christmas' and 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas'. He says: “This arrangement tells a story which many of the students here at the School find themselves in as they can’t go home for Christmas. The arrangement starts with solo guitar and gradually the orchestra comes in and we enter a dream, and the guitarist is at home again.”
