After a stunning performance in the Strings Final of BBC Young Musician, 18 year-old cellist Max Calver headed to Birmingham yesterday ahead of the Semi-Finals. Max will compete against the other category finalists for a place in the Final on Sunday evening.
The Semi-Final will be broadcast on BBC Four on Friday at 7.30pm and the Final on Sunday at 7pm. Both will be available on iPlayer shortly after broadcast.
