We were delighted to be asked for the fifth year in a row to host the launch party for the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival in The Menuhin Hall. This is always a highly enjoyable event which cements the School's position as the premier music venue in the local area and gives our students an excellent performance opportunity very close to the start of term.

This year the festival was declared open by soprano Natalie Coyle who tweeted afterwards:

We were lucky to be inspired musically by these wonderfully talented students from @MenuhinSchool @ArtsAliveMV #arts

Arts Alive Chairman Cllr Maurice Homewood wrote afterwards:

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality of The Yehudi Menuhin School which launched Arts Alive with such joy and pleasure last week. Please thank your pupils for their excellence - I have had many complimentary comments on the high standard of musicianship that they achieved.

This year two concerts in The Menuhin Hall feature in the festival programme: the Alumni Concert with Ben Baker and Michael Petrov on Thursday 9 October and the Showcase Concert (with our current students) on Tuesday 21 October, both at 7.30pm.

We look forward to next year's launch!
