Irina has extensive teaching experience, working at the Purcell School of Music as an Academic Music, Choral Conducting, and Second Study Piano teacher, and at the ACS Egham International School as an International Baccalaureate MYP and DP teacher.

Highlights of her teaching and performing activities include:

Piano recital at the American Embassy, London for the launch of a new radio station and performing at the “Peace Prize Ceremony” for international schools worldwide.
She is in demand as a presenter on aural training, conducting, and choral repertoire, delivering sessions for the Association of British Choral Directors, choral conducting Master’s students at the RAM and the University of Manchester, Conductors in Isolation, Cardiff International Academy of Conducting, Enhui Music, Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, and more.
Her students regularly achieve prizes at the ISA Young Musician and Composition Competitions, AMIS International Composition Competition, and ‘ACS Egham Musician of the Year Competition’ and ‘Composition Competition’ with over 70 participants; they have also collaborated with members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in performance of the students’ original compositions for string quartets and chamber ensembles.
Preparing students for studying music at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, London conservatoires, New England Conservatory of Music and Eastman School of Music in the USA, and The University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna among others.

Being awarded a First-Class Honours Degree in Choral Conducting from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, she was subsequently selected for the post-graduate course there, graduating with an MA in Music.

Irina feels exceptionally privileged to join the Faculty at the Menuhin School as an Academic Music teacher. “It gives me an enormous pleasure to see the students succeed. I understand the demands of the music profession and strive to help my students surpass their own perceived potential”.
