The Menuhin Hall has announced its 2025-2026 Autumn/Winter season, a bold and imaginative programme that brings together leading international artists, pioneering ensembles, world premieres and the outstanding young musicians of the Yehudi Menuhin School.
The season opens on Thursday 11 September with Wigmore Hall Associate Ensemble Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, featuring virtuoso horn soloist Ben Goldscheider, and the Yehudi Menuhin School's new Director of Music and acclaimed violist, Rosalind Ventris. Their performance of Mozart's Horn Quintet in E-flat major K. 407 and Brahms' Horn Trio in E-flat major, Op. 40 alongside Pejačević's Impromptu for Piano Quartet and Huw Watkins' ground-breaking Lament for Horn and Piano sets the tone for a series that balances established ensembles with new and innovative groups.
We are also delighted to welcome an array of other world-class artists, including the dazzling violin quartet Quadphonics, cellist Li-Wei Qin with pianist Jeremy Young, and the internationally acclaimed Sitkovetsky Trio. Alongside these distinguished guests, the Hall continues to champion its rising stars: Spotlights, our flagship concert series for YMS pupils, offers a dynamic mix of solo and chamber performances, often with premieres by first-study composers. Meanwhile, the increasingly popular Lunch + Listen concerts provide an informal opportunity to enjoy chamber masterworks and sonatas in an intimate setting.
Our annual Winter Festival (6–10 December) also makes a return, showcasing the depth and breadth of music-making at the Menuhin Hall and the Yehudi Menuhin School. Highlights include the opening collaboration with Surrey Mozart Players and YMS pupil soloists, a magical Family Day featuring the much-loved Christmas classic The Snowman, and a spectacular finale uniting choir, pianists and orchestra for a joyful seasonal celebration.
