The DaCapo Music Foundation

The DaCapo Music Foundation is a music education charity with a thirty-year history, dedicated to a Kodaly-based, child-friendly programme of learning from toddlers to teens and adult learners.

The charity has a team of thirty teachers working at its Flagship Family Music Centre in North London, in schools and independently.

DaCapo prides itself on an approach which ensures that the care which goes into looking after people is equal to the attention which goes into the curriculum.

DaCapo has evolved from being a Saturday morning music school into an organisation which runs: Family Music Centres; School Music Partnerships; Teacher Training Programmes; Family Concerts; Summer Schools and Special Projects, with valued partners including the Yehudi Menuhin School, Fantasia Orchestra, the Proms at St Jude’s and the Little Angel Theatre.

About our partnership

The Yehudi Menuhin School has worked in partnership with the DaCapo Music Foundation to develop an engaging and structured musical curriculum for Baby Menuhins, ensuring that children get the best all-round start to their music learning.

The award-winning curriculum, developed by the DaCapo Music Foundation, has been benefitting young people for thirty years and uses a unique approach, rooted in the proven education methods of Kodaly and Eurythmics.
